Incorporating cl.standing lk and mk should be a common thing, those two moves are incredibly powerful for frame traps in you're looking to be disrespectful. It's one of his greatest moves in the game because it has a 5 frame startup. Aside from trying to learn my opponent's breakers (focusing on auto-doubles for now), the only things I figured out that I can actually practice are manuals (too early for me to incorporate them, I'm not consistent enough yet), the only reliable hit confirm I've found is f.HK, and the only frame trap is corner-specific, starts off of the f.HK, then if blocked, goes into H.Laser sword, st.HP xx M.Wind kick (and if the block is dropped at any point, I go into a full combo - but am usually too slow to react).

The game feels much faster and much more rushdown-orientated and I feel like I'm just not fast enough on the reactions. If I lose in a particularly bad way, that is I have no idea what happened, or to some particular move that I failed to punish repeatedly, I will go back to the training mode just to test that scenario, then play some more online. This will last anywhere from half an hour to an hour, then I'll go play ranked. I will go into training mode, practice my basic combos (cr.MK xx Hadoken, for example, have to get it 10 times in a row), punishes after a wiffed move (HP xx H.Shoryuken or f.HP xx H.Shoryuken, also 10 times in a row), hit confirms with random block on (cr.LK > cr.LP > then throw if blocked or cr.HP xx Tatsu if not) for time, and then my FADC combos (in parts, then in whole). When I start a play session, I know exactly what to do to get better. I started with SF4 and it's still the game I play most often.
